Jess grew up in Connecticut, lived for a few years in New York City, and now calls New Jersey home. In the late 90's she headed to New York to attended the School of Visual Arts where she received a BFA in Illustration with honors. Blending hand-made and digital techniques, Jess's signature style is a organic combination of flowing shapes, florals, and figurative forms. Jess works extensively in the publishing, fashion, advertising, and paper products industries creating illustrations and surface designs for clients across the world. Luckily, the long work days are never lonely since she shares her studio with her husband, who is also an artist.
Besides creating art, Jess enjoys green tea, chocolate, pop culture, podcasts, and all things science fiction, particularly SF literature. Forever fascinated by the fine line between science and creative spontaneity, she's become very interested in symmetry theories and how they apply to repeat pattern making.
